Wachusett Regional High School offers 18 Advanced Placement courses to its students. These courses follow the national AP standards modeled by first-year college courses and developed by The College Board. Students take their AP exams in May.
Registering for the Exam
There are two parts to AP Registration, both parts must be completed to be registered to take exams
1. All students, whether taking the exam or not, must register with AP Classroom during their first week of class. Students should sign into My AP, and register their classes. Failure to register your class means that an exam CANNOT be ordered for your student.
2. The cost of the AP exam is $100*. All students must pay the full amount or a $50 deposit through the school's online payment portal by October 29th. Failure to pay the full exam fee or the deposit by the October 29th deadline will result in NO exam being ordered for the student. This is a hard deadline, there are no exceptions to this.
*Families that qualify for free and/or reduced lunch will pay $40 for the AP EXAM
Any AP Exam can be directed to the school's AP Coordinator, Anthony DiBenedetto
AP Summer Work:
AP Physics C: Mechanics optional summer work:
This course is designed to be taught simultaneously with an AP Calculus class. However, basic differentiation & integrations are needed in AP Physics before they are covered in AP Calculus. To begin the year with the proper mathematical skills, students are asked to complete the readings and practice problems on pages 64-108 and 151-184 of Quick Calculus: A Self-Teaching Guide by Daniel Kleppner and Norman Ramsey over the summer. The book will help students initially learn the basic differentiation and integrations needed for the course. This is an ungraded, optional assignment."
