Overview
Wachusett Regional High School fields 26 girls and boys sports teams during the fall, winter, and spring seasons, at the Varsity, JV, and Freshman levels. The cost to participate in a sport is $250/athlete per athletic season with a maximum of $350/family per season. If you would like more information about the WRHS athletic program please contact athletic director Jennifer Lynch.
Expectations and Commitment
Playing a high school sport requires considerable commitment. Student-athletes at the Varsity level make a tremendous investment of time, effort, and energy. This commitment is in addition to their academic course load at WRHS. Students who choose to play a sport should be aware of the expectations and be able to balance athletics and academics. All fall sports teams begin practice before school begins in August, and at the Varsity level, most teams practice on weekends and during school vacations. In addition, student-athletes are often expected to take part in off-season workouts and in-season conditioning sessions. Wachusett Regional High School encourages students to play a sport and get involved in extracurricular activities, but we want everyone to be aware of what is involved. The expectations for each sport can be found on the individual season pages. Parents or athletes who have questions should contact the coach of that sport.

All candidates trying out for a WRHS sports team must register online
Online registration for each season's sports is available on that season's specific page (Fall, Winter, Spring). Please see the individual season pages to find specific information for each sport, such as tryout times and locations. Information will be posted as it becomes available.
Physical Examination Requirement
In addition to registering online, students must present a copy of a valid physical to the school nurse before the start of tryouts, as required by the MIAA. Physical exams are valid for 13 months.
Students are responsible for ensuring their physical is valid for the duration of the season.
The students proof of a physical examination should be completed by the family's physician.

Summer Sports Physicals
Wednesday, August 19th from 10:00-12:00pm in the Health Office by appointment only. The cost is $20 and a parent/guardian must accompany the student. The fee may be paid by check (made payable to WRSD). Appointments may be scheduled by calling 508-829-6771 ext. 1331 or 508-829-6771ext 0. Limited appointments are available, please book early.
NO ONLINE REGISTRATION + NO PHYSICAL = NO TRYOUT
Payment of Athletic Fee
Parents should pay their child's athletic fee through our automated payment center. To access the online athletic activity fee center, click here. There is no fee for trying out for a team. Payment should not be made until tryouts are completed and the child is named to a team roster.
Online Athletic Event Tickets
Wachusett Regional High School is excited to announce that tickets for our sporting events can now be purchased digitally through the GoFan app. A quick and easy checkout allows for multiple payment options such as debit and credit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Buying tickets online gives fans the ability to access and share tickets easily by email or text. All GoFan tickets must be validated when entering the sports venue by a school representative.
